Job SummaryThis position is responsible for performing physical labor tasks at construction sites and assisting other workers. The ideal candidate will have experience in the construction industry and be able to operate a variety of hand and power tools, including air hammers, earth tampers, cement mixers, and surveying equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare construction sites to eliminate potential hazards and ensure a safe working environment
- Load, unload, and distribute building materials, machinery, and tools to designated locations
- Control traffic near work zones and signal equipment operators to facilitate alignment and movement of machinery and materials
- Dig ditches and trenches, backfill excavations, and compact and level earth using various tools and equipment
- May be required to enter trenches and confined spaces after receiving proper training and clearance
- Understand and comply with safety protocols and regulations as set by the company and relevant authorities
