Product Development Manager

Semi Recruiting is seeking a skilled Product Development Manager to lead product management and solutions for the semiconductor, optics, and precision industry applications. This role is responsible for the four P's of marketing: product (lifecycle, development), placement (sales channels), pricing, and promotion (in collaboration with Sales and MarCom), actively contributing to the growth and profitability of the company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Product management across the product life cycle for three separate product families.
- Supporting sales and customers with product selection, quotations, and technical consulting.
- Managing the pricing (base price, pricing plans, discounting), gross margins, and positioning of our products.
- Project management for product development, improvement, and change - all in collaboration with customers, innovation, sales, production, quality control, suppliers, etc.
- Collaboration with MarCom for product documentation, web presence, trade show materials, and customer presentations.
- Collaborate with QEHS on SDS, quality documentation, safety aspects.
- Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers and service providers to ensure product supply and quality.
- Participate in key supplier evaluations and audits.
- Create and communicate reporting with market information such as competitor products, customer projects, pricing trends.
Requirements:
- 2-3 years experience
- BS, Engineering
- Relevant industry background in semiconductor, optics, or precision engineering industry in polishing applications.
- Strong time management and task prioritization.
- Curiosity to solve challenging problems in lapping/polishing of advanced materials.
- Broad knowledge of Microsoft Office is a given.
- Must be a team player, a self-motivated, innovative, diplomatic, flexible, dependable, and accountable for overall customer satisfaction.
- Strong willingness to develop and grow personal relationships with external and internal customers.
- Goal driven and results-oriented mindset.
Compensation:
- $90k plus bonus
Work Environment:
- Travel ~ 20% of the time, occasionally internationally.
