Product Owner

This is a unique opportunity to join Jobot, a rapidly growing organization that helps the underserved and at-risk disabled population navigate the complex disability benefits journey. As a Product Owner, you will play a key role in shaping the company's strategic direction by researching and developing requirements for new features and enhancements to the existing product suites.

Responsibilities
  • Develop a deep understanding of current business processes and systems to inform product decisions.
  • Create and execute elements of the product roadmap, collaborating with internal stakeholders and other product managers to drive business value.
  • Develop project plans that include timelines, risk logs, dependency logs, issue logs, and pre-delivery change requests to ensure successful product launches.
  • Write user stories and acceptance criteria that identify customer use cases, edge cases, dependencies, and acceptance criteria, including non-functional requirements.
  • Validate acceptance criteria and accept completed work to ensure high-quality products.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to continually mature the backlog based on a keen understanding of business value, ensuring that the team has an adequate number of high-value tasks in each sprint.
  • Prioritize and make tradeoff decisions to ensure maximum impact and business value can be realized from the CRM Platform investment.
  • Assist the software development team in meeting objectives by actively mitigating roadblocks impacting the successful completion of release/sprint goals.
  • Keep stakeholders informed of the status and frequently seek feedback throughout the development process.
  • Act as a strong support to Operations team managers through effective problem-solving, collaboration, and communication strategies.
  • Work with operations teams to ensure the successful launch of new platform features.
  • Educate and evangelize to other teams on how product capabilities can be used.
  • Ensure that products are legally compliant and that processes are updated as the regulatory landscape evolves.
Requirements
  • Authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.
  • Five (5) years of experience and a track record of success directing the efforts of developers building and shipping application software that encompass an end-to-end experience within a large-scale, ambiguous domain.
  • Experience in going through a full product lifecycle, integrating customer feedback into product requirements, and driving prioritization and pre/post-launch execution.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple conflicting priorities and deadlines without compromising quality.
  • A high degree of proficiency in prototyping and iterative development.
  • Experience driving complex projects or programs with multiple competing stakeholders.
  • An excellent eye for detail and a demonstrated obsession with building great user experiences.
  • Ability to work with ambiguity and be flexible/nimble.
  • An inclination toward communication, inclusion, and visibility.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable with continuous learning and able to roll with changes.
  • Maximize effectiveness in a constantly evolving environment where the process is fluid and creative solutions are the norm.
  • Overall understanding of technologies used in the product, including PHP, AngularJS, Bootstrap, and GitHub. Hands-on development experience using these technologies is required.
