Job Description

At St. Mary's Hospital for Children, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Pediatric Physical Therapist to join our team of dedicated healthcare professionals. As a key member of our rehabilitation team, you will play a vital role in helping our young patients achieve optimal physical function and independence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of patients to identify physical therapy needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Implement and deliver evidence-based physical therapy interventions to promote optimal physical function, mobility, and independence in our pediatric patients.
  • Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, and other therapists, to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practices and advancements in pediatric physical therapy.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of New York.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in pediatric physical therapy, preferably in an inpatient or outpatient rehabilitation setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
