As a Physical Therapist, you will play a crucial role in evaluating, planning, implementing, and documenting the physical therapy needs of our patients. Your work will support our mission to deliver the highest quality of care while adhering to regulatory standards and achieving necessary certifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver skilled physical therapy services in alignment with the care plan established by the physician and healthcare team.
- Assist in assessing patients' functional capabilities and contribute to the development and modification of care plans.
- Administer treatments aimed at alleviating pain, restoring function, and optimizing performance through various physical therapy modalities.
- Monitor and document patient responses to treatments, reporting any changes in condition to the appropriate medical staff.
- Educate patients, families, and healthcare team members on physical therapy processes and the use of medical devices.
- Regularly evaluate and adjust rehabilitation plans to meet ongoing patient needs, ensuring comprehensive care.
- Coordinate with other healthcare professionals to maintain continuity of care for patients.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to departmental research as needed.
Successful completion of an accredited physical therapy program is required. Candidates must hold a valid Physical Therapy License in New York State.
Experience in pediatric physical therapy is preferred, with a minimum of one year in a relevant setting.
Work Schedule:
- Full-time and part-time positions available
- 8-hour shifts
