About the Role

The eShop Manager is a key position within Housing Works, responsible for driving the growth and productivity of our online business and brand. This role requires a unique blend of online retail and resale expertise, as well as strong merchandising and photography skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Brand Image and Aesthetic: Uphold a brand image that appeals to customers and articulates our most important differentiators and product benefits by creating standards that enhance and solidify our aesthetic and provide an omni-channel experience.
  • Team Management: Oversee the eShop Coordinator and any temporary/intern positions to ensure seamless execution of online business operations.
  • Marketing and Advertising: Oversee marketing and advertising activities to ensure consistency with product line strategy and drive sales growth.
  • Trend Research and Analysis: Monitor and research trends to identify key issues and opportunities that can inform restocks and drive sales.
  • Marketing Meetings: Participate in marketing meetings to develop the online shopping experience and increase revenue.
  • Sales Metrics and Analysis: Examine sales-related metrics to inform restocks and optimize online business operations.
  • Storage and Processing: Manage storage and processing space to ensure efficient and effective online business operations.
  • System Compliance: Stay in compliance with systems that best support incoming product flow and shipping.
  • Reporting and Data Analysis: Record and report on daily, weekly and monthly sales data as needed.
Secondary Responsibilities
  • Security and Maintenance: Review the security of checkout pages and payment procedures, and schedule and communicate site maintenance as needed.
  • Fulfillment Schedule: Adhere to the fulfillment schedule to ensure timely and efficient delivery of products.
  • Pricing Strategies: Continue the development of pricing strategies to optimize sales and revenue growth.
Minimum Requirements
  • Education and Experience: College degree preferred or at least 2 years minimum experience in the e-commerce field.
  • Industry Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of the internet resale industry.
  • Visual Display and Merchandising: Visual display experience, creative visual merchandising skills, and ability to train and motivate volunteers and trainees.
  • Organizational and Time Management: Strong organizational and follow-up skills, manages time wisely.
  • Photography and Computer Proficiency: Photography experience and computer proficiency required, ability to take, upload and edit clear photographs.
  • Schedule Flexibility: Flexibility in schedule, including weekends, holidays, and some overtime may be required.
