Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Housekeeping Service Manager to join our team at Compass Group, North America. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of cleanliness and customer satisfaction in our facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a high level of cleanliness in assigned areas, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our clients and employees.
  • Participate in recruitment and staff selection process, identifying and developing top talent to join our team.
  • Assist with housekeeper scheduling, ensuring adequate staffing levels to meet customer needs.
  • Assign established work areas and project duties, providing clear guidance and expectations to team members.
  • Plan and coordinate project work, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
  • Attend and participate in departmental staff meetings, development and training courses, staying up-to-date on industry best practices and company initiatives.
  • Provide and monitor individual guidance and motivation to employees, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Participate in facility Quality Assurance Program, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Work with chemicals on a constant basis, requiring special clothing or safety equipment, and ensuring compliance with company safety protocols.
  • Assign equipment to staff, monitoring daily equipment use, cleaning and maintenance, and ensuring all equipment is clean and professional in appearance at all times.
  • Assist housekeepers on an as-needed basis, providing support and guidance to ensure seamless operations.
Requirements:
  • 4 years of support services, military, housekeeping, and/or facilities maintenance experience.
  • 1 or more years of supervisory/management experience, with a proven track record of success in leading high-performing teams.
  • Strong work ethic, intense drive, and initiative for quality and customer service, with a focus on delivering exceptional results.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, both one-on-one and in group situations, with a focus on finding creative solutions to complex challenges.
  • Ability to utilize a participative approach to managing staff, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Understanding of budgeting processes and awareness of profit and loss concepts, with the ability to make informed decisions.
  • Excellent administrative and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to function appropriately under stressful conditions, with a focus on maintaining a calm and composed demeanor.
  • CRCST or any other applicable sterile processing certification is preferred.
  • Proficient computer skills and knowledge of MS Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and internet.
  • Associates degree is preferred.
