Medical Care Specialist

OrthoNY is seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to provide exceptional patient care and support to our physicians.
This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment where you can make a real difference in patients' lives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet patients promptly and professionally, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Assist patients with the registration process, collecting required information and medical history.
- Prepare patients for exams by performing preliminary tests and reporting relevant information to the provider.
- Assist the provider with patient care, including scribe duties and reviewing treatment procedures.
- Collect patient payments and schedule follow-up appointments as needed.
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA standards.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Medical Assistance Certification or Degree in the Sciences preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience in a medical setting preferred.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong data entry skills.
- CPR/BLS certification preferred.
Work Schedule:
Monday-Thursday 11:30-8, Friday 10:30-6:30, 40 hours per week.
