POSITION SUMMARY
In the role of Automated Systems Technician in Racine, Wisconsin, your responsibilities will include: setting up and operating various automated manufacturing systems and related equipment; executing routine repair tasks utilizing specific maintenance techniques; assisting external vendors or contractors in the upkeep, repair, or enhancement of equipment; coordinating necessary maintenance for all machinery within your designated area; employing advanced troubleshooting skills to support fellow technicians; ensuring adherence to safety protocols at all times; managing equipment startup and shutdown procedures; responding to urgent breakdowns as necessary; fully implementing preventive maintenance methods for both planned and unplanned maintenance requests; possessing a comprehensive understanding of computer-controlled machine programming, including proficiency in PLCs and in-depth knowledge of programmable controllers; aiding in the installation of new machinery and sub-assemblies, as well as completing equipment overhauls; utilizing digital dashboards, and collaborating effectively with suppliers and other partners.

REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or GED is mandatory
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing setting with PLC interface/Programming is essential
  • Basic knowledge of robotics is required
  • Technical training in electrical, electronics, pneumatics, mechanics, or PLC is necessary; proficiency in two or more areas is strongly preferred
  • Preventative machine maintenance experience is advantageous
  • Arc Flash Certification is a plus
