Position Summary:

This role is designated as an Admissions Coordinator I for the Distance Education Support Services Team, operating within the College of Pharmacy. The DESS team oversees the entire student lifecycle, from initial inquiry through to graduation for individuals enrolled in the College of Pharmacy and Medicine. This position will be instrumental in managing the admission process for students seeking entry into educational programs, ensuring that all application materials are complete and accurate. Responsibilities include tracking applicant progress, coordinating documentation, and engaging with prospective students and academic departments to support recruitment efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

Application Assessment and Student Admission: Conduct thorough evaluations of submitted documentation from graduate and transfer applicants to confirm the completeness of applications. Provide clear communication to applicants regarding any missing or required materials. Monitor applicant progress in accordance with established timelines and collaborate with program directors to determine eligibility for admission. Facilitate the application processing, manage correspondence, and maintain accurate records. Utilize institutional systems to finalize admission decisions and distribute acceptance notifications along with essential orientation materials.

Enrollment Management and Course Registration: Oversee the online registration process for newly admitted and current students. Ensure timely processing of student registrations and submission of fee waivers. Actively track and verify student progress towards the completion of academic programs, ensuring compliance with deadlines and program requirements.

Support Functions for DESS: Monitor student academic performance, manage transfer credit requests, and address changes in student status. Collaborate with team members to propose and implement procedural improvements for efficient service delivery.

Primary Contact for Students: Act as the main point of contact for inquiries from prospective and current students. Provide timely and professional responses to all communications, ensuring that information shared is accurate and up-to-date. Regularly update program materials and online resources to enhance student engagement.

Compensation:

$43,888 annually

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
