Position Overview:

SBM Management is in search of a Custodial Operations Manager. This role is pivotal in supervising all facets of the custodial program while exemplifying and enforcing safe working practices and protocols.

The ideal candidate will possess exceptional organizational skills and have a proven track record in managing extensive janitorial teams.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and coordinate the work activities and schedules of custodial staff.
  • Assist in the recruitment, onboarding, and training processes for new hires.
  • Prepare and maintain written reports.
  • Conduct quality, service, and safety inspections; ensure employees utilize personal protective equipment, supplies, and tools appropriately.
  • Serve as the primary communication link between management and frontline personnel.
  • Monitor and manage inventory of equipment and supplies.
  • Report personnel and customer-related issues to management.
  • Provide recommendations for corrective actions in areas requiring improvement.
  • Maintain comprehensive records.

Qualifications:
  • Experience in janitorial or facilities management is essential.
  • Ability to thrive in a manufacturing or warehouse setting, with a significant amount of walking involved.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to a fast-paced environment and client demands are crucial.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • A minimum of 2 years of management experience.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is preferred.
  • Reliable transportation is necessary.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and other basic software applications.
  • Experience in unionized environments is advantageous.

Compensation:

Annual salary ranges from $55,000 to $60,000.


Shift Availability:
  • 1st Shift: 6am-2:30pm, Monday-Friday (Rotating Weekends)
  • 3rd Shift: 10:00pm-6:30am, Monday-Friday (Rotating Weekends)
