Job Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to join our team in Peoria. Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing, installing, commissioning, and testing instrumentation & control systems (SCADA)
  • Collaborating with internal departments, including information technology, engineering, and operations
  • Providing project management, managing teams, and ensuring quality control during all phases of projects
  • Offering instrumentation & control design services for water/wastewater treatment facilities, pumping stations, and related facilities
  • Onsite work for municipal clients, including instrumentation configuration, installation assistance, and control system and process start-up/testing
  • Rotating 24/7 on-call duty to troubleshoot instrumentation/control issues

In addition to these responsibilities, we require:

  • A B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology
  • 5+ years of experience as an Electrical/Controls Engineer performing design, programming, installation, and startup tasks
  • Programming experience using PLCs, SCADA, and OITs software
  • Experience working with various products, including Allen-Bradley SLC, MicroLogix, CompactLogix, ControlLogix, PanelView, Rockwell FactoryTalk View, GE iFIX, Inductive Automation Ignition, Wonderware System Platform, InTouch, and other hardware/software
  • Advanced computer skills
  • Auto CAD/Visio experience preferred
