Job Overview

The Technical Project Coordinator for Power Generation Systems will be responsible for managing and interpreting RFQs from major clients, reviewing specifications and drawings to determine materials, labor hours, testing, and field service requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical power generation and industrial control systems.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate project applications, documentation, and proposals within the required timeframes.
  • Provide necessary drawings and documentation for proposal development.
  • Review project specifications and drawings, incorporating them into proposals.
  • Research and compile Bill of Materials for inclusion in proposals.
  • Utilize existing designs and departmental standards to ensure product consistency and efficiency.

Proposal Development:

  • Develop functional and compliant project proposals that meet customer expectations.
  • Interpret specifications, write-ups, and correspondence to ensure proposal accuracy.
  • Resolve any technical questions in collaboration with Sales Managers, engineers, and customers.
  • Ensure proposals align with RFQs and meet customer expectations.
  • Provide technical expertise during customer meetings or presentations.
  • Ensure designs adhere to applicable codes, such as OSHA, NEC, UL508, UL891, and UL1558.

Technical Coordination:

  • Perform necessary calculations and analyses to support proposal development.
  • Collaborate with mechanical applications teams on switchgear, cabling, and system integration.
  • Provide technical guidance throughout all phases of the project.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering preferred.
  • A Technical Degree or equivalent in experience is desirable.
  • Strong background in electrical power generation and industrial control systems required.
  • Experience of the engine/generator set industry essential.

Salary Range:$85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
