As a Youth Support Specialist at Shepherd's Hill Academy, you will play a vital role in transforming the lives of adolescents facing challenges and their families. Our dedicated team engages with youth aged 12-17, providing essential support, guidance, and a structured environment throughout their journey in our program. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the well-being, safety, and security of the residents at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accompany residents to their scheduled daily activities.
  • Facilitate and supervise various resident activities, including sports events, outdoor excursions, and recreational pursuits across our expansive campus.
  • Follow the established treatment plans for residents and stay informed about any modifications.
  • Guide residents in developing crucial life skills.
  • Assist students in caring for animals, including rabbits, horses, sheep, and poultry.
  • Organize and participate in activities aimed at fostering character development.
  • Complete official Field Reports at the conclusion of each shift.
  • Participate in and contribute to Shift Briefings.
  • Engage in relevant Team Training and meetings.
  • Maintain effective reporting practices and adhere to communication protocols.
