Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Verifying the accuracy of material deliveries.
  • Organizing and sorting materials by product category in designated holding areas.
  • Ensuring that the oldest stock is prioritized for delivery.
  • Packaging components according to established guidelines.
  • Maintaining accurate labeling and routing of packages.
  • Assessing the condition of packaging for potential reuse.
  • Preparing materials for shipment, ensuring compliance with product and documentation standards.
  • Organizing stock on shelves with a focus on accuracy and neatness.
  • Identifying and labeling problematic items for appropriate routing.
  • Conducting audits of kits for accuracy and maintaining a clean work environment.
  • Overseeing the distribution flow of materials, supplies, and equipment.
  • Cross-referencing received goods with shipping documents.
  • Providing leadership and guidance to fellow logistics team members.
  • Collaborating with inspectors, procurement personnel, and production teams.

Qualifications

Preferred candidates will possess:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent, with vocational training being advantageous.
  • A minimum of six months of experience in stock management and data entry.
  • Typically, 2+ years of relevant experience is required.

Skills and Competencies

Ideal candidates will demonstrate:

  • The ability to read and understand basic instructions and documents.
  • Proficiency in basic arithmetic operations.
  • Capability to follow simple procedures and handle standardized tasks.
  • Familiarity with color-coding and schematics.
  • Knowledge of ESD handling protocols.
  • Strong teamwork skills and problem-solving abilities.
  • Successful completion of the Material Handler Assessment Program.
  • Understanding of the distribution system and proficiency in computer operations.

Work Environment

The role is situated in shipping, receiving, and production areas, with some exposure to outdoor conditions. Physical demands include lifting, standing for extended periods, and operating material handling equipment.
