About the Role

The Port of Portland is seeking a highly skilled Dredge Quality Control Program Manager to oversee our quality control initiatives for dredging operations at the Port. This role is essential in ensuring our projects meet the highest standards of quality and compliance with regulatory requirements.

This position requires a strong understanding of quality control principles and practices, as well as excellent communication and leadership skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and implementing the Quality Control (QC) program on United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) contract, coordinating all specified and on-site testing and personnel required by the contract, and working closely with Dredge Captain and Shore Superintendent with coordination of daily operational activities.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Maritime, Construction, or Engineering, and a minimum of five years of professional experience in progressively more responsible positions and shipyard experience including repair and maintenance. Construction Quality Management for Contractors training is required within 6 months of hire, and all training costs and fees will be paid for by the Port of Portland.
