This pivotal position is responsible for guiding the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the entire DG portfolio, which provides essential software solutions and services to utilities for managing the grid lifecycle and enabling future-ready grids.
Key Responsibilities:
- Formulate and execute the information security strategy for the Digital Grid sector, ensuring it aligns with overarching business goals.
- Possess expertise in security across diverse business models, including perpetual licenses, enterprise licensing, and SaaS, with hosting on-premise, hybrid-cloud, and cloud environments.
- Supervise the development and execution of security protocols, policies, and procedures to safeguard the company's digital assets.
- Lead and manage a team of security experts to ensure continuous monitoring and protection of the organization's networks, systems, and data.
- Establish and maintain resilient and secure systems to guarantee the uninterrupted operation of mission-critical software.
- Implement comprehensive disaster recovery and business continuity strategies to mitigate the effects of security breaches or system failures.
- Collaborate closely with development teams to embed security measures throughout the software development lifecycle, ensuring security is a primary consideration from design to deployment.
- Direct the evaluation and management of security risks specific to the Digital Grid domain.
- Work in partnership with cross-functional teams to incorporate security best practices into the development and operation of digital grid solutions.
- Ensure adherence to industry standards, regulations, and internal security requirements.
- Promote security awareness and training initiatives tailored for the Digital Grid team.
- Act as the principal contact for security-related issues within the Digital Grid business.
- Stay informed about emerging threats and technologies to proactively tackle security challenges.
- Demonstrate proven experience as a CISO or in a senior information security role, ideally within the energy distribution, DERMS, or digital grid sectors.
- Possess a deep understanding of digital grid technologies, including IoT, cloud computing, and advanced distribution management systems.
- Exhibit strong knowledge of industry-specific regulations and standards (e.g., NIST, NERC CIP, GDPR, IEC 62443, CIS, CSA SOC 2 Type 2, ISO 27001, ISO 27701, CRA).
- Showcase excellent leadership and communication skills to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA are highly desirable.
- Hold an advanced degree in engineering, cybersecurity, or computer information technology-related fields.
