About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Guest Services Associate to join our team at Four Sisters Inns. As a key member of our front desk team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional guest service, handling reservations, and ensuring a seamless experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Guest Service: Provide exceptional guest service, responding to guest inquiries, and resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Reservations: Handle multiple telephone lines, take reservations, and assist guests with information and dinner reservations.
  • Revenue Maximization: Maximize revenue for the inn by selling top rates and other services.
  • Room Management: Accept and process room reservations, greet, register, and assign rooms to incoming guests and check out departing guests.
  • Communication: Maintain accurate records of current and future room availability and guest accounts, compute bills, collect payments, and make change for guests.
  • Local Knowledge: Stay up-to-date on local area information, including restaurants, wineries, shops, and activities, and assist guests with making reservations and fulfilling special requests.
  • Teamwork: Work closely with the Housekeeping Department, notify them of late check-outs, room moves, early check-ins, and special requests.
  • Adaptability: Be flexible and adaptable, working in an ever-changing environment, and be able to pivot and switch gears as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); six months to one year related experience and/or training.
  • Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, or governmental regulations, and effectively present information and respond to questions from management and other employees.
  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to work with general mathematical concepts and apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions, and apply common sense to various issues that arise on a regular basis.
Working Environment

The work environment is fast-paced and dynamic, with a moderate noise level. The employee will be required to work some weekends and company-recognized holidays.
