Position Summary:


Colliers Engineering & Design is actively seeking experienced Project Managers to enhance our Electrical division. Candidates must possess the necessary licensure to be considered.


Our team of electrical, mechanical, and plumbing engineers brings a wealth of expertise across diverse projects, including energy generation and distribution, illumination systems, fire safety alarms, security measures, and access control solutions.

We specialize in both the design of new systems and the renovation of existing ones, alongside energy management solutions. Our services encompass both new building commissioning and retro-commissioning. Our specialists excel in minimizing energy consumption while ensuring comfortable indoor environments. Our professional engineers assess the implications of design choices on both immediate capital expenditures and long-term operational expenses. Additionally, our team conducts constructability assessments to optimize project costs and expedite completion timelines.

Key Responsibilities:


Act as the Engineer of Record (EOR) by conducting peer evaluations, quality assurance and quality control on projects prior to submission, and collaborating with the electrical department leadership.

Develop comprehensive work plans and man-hour estimates for approval.


Oversee project timelines and budgetary constraints to meet client expectations while managing workflow and productivity.

Ensure adherence to quality control and assurance protocols for all assigned projects.

Engage in the development and coordination of proposals and provide additional marketing support, including business development initiatives.


Identify project teams, delineate work packages and tasks, establish evaluation methods, set productivity benchmarks, and determine the schedule of deliverables and required manpower for projects.

Guarantee that all participants are aligned with project planning and profit management procedures.

Guide junior personnel in mastering sound technical and business methodologies while promoting corporate objectives.

Assist in confirming that all design elements comply with local regulations and apply relevant code provisions.

Collaborate with other disciplines to ensure a cohesive design approach.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.

A minimum of 8 years of electrical engineering design experience is essential within the architecture sector.

Licensure as an engineer in Michigan and/or Ohio is mandatory.

Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Revit, AGI Lighting, and power analysis software (SKM, EasyPower, ETAP) is preferred.

A strong enthusiasm for power, lighting, and fire alarm design is essential.

Willingness to travel to client sites as required.

Proficient in reading, writing, and understanding English for effective communication in job-related contexts.

Capability to ascend ladders.
