Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled System Network Administrator to join our team at SixAxis. The successful candidate will be responsible for configuring, maintaining, and monitoring applications and systems to ensure a high level of availability of our network environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Network Administration: Ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems and networks by following best practices IT planning, development, implementation, and maintenance processes.
  • Infrastructure Management: Manage all aspects of the infrastructure: servers, networking, PCs, telecom services, and cell services to ensure uptime during operating hours.
  • Disaster Recovery: Administer disaster recovery procedures and backup jobs, including periodic testing to validate backups.
  • Virtualization: Manage Hyper-V virtual servers and storage technologies.
  • System Updates: Keep servers updated with current firmware and patches.
  • Hardware and Software Support: Install, configure, upgrade, and support Windows, Mac OSX, Office365, Meraki, AWS, and Linux hardware.
  • End-User Support: Provide level 2 end-user computer hardware and software support to local and remote users.
  • Project Implementation: Assist in the implementation of new technologies in assigned projects.
  • Documentation: Keep systems, backup, and restore procedure documentation current.
  • Team Management: Manage work assignments and priorities of 2 help desk specialists.
Requirements
  • Experience: Experience working as a Systems Administrator at a mid-sized company.
  • Technical Skills: Windows Systems experience using server monitoring and reporting tools such as switches, routers, firewalls, spam filters, VLANs, Windows 2016 or later, Hyper-V, backup/system recovery, Active Directory, etc.
  • Cloud Experience: Amazon Web Services experience using EC2, RDS databases, and microservices.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Management information Systems, or related degree is preferred.
