  • As a Manufacturing Technician III, you will be responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining various packaging equipment, including pickers, sorters, labelers, packers, checkweighers, printers, inspection equipment, palletizers, stretch-wrappers, and conveyors. You will work collaboratively with technical resources to resolve equipment issues and provide technical support to production technicians.
  • You will also be responsible for performing preventative maintenance tasks, identifying and investigating abnormal conditions, and preventing unplanned equipment downtime. Additionally, you will operate light material handling equipment, such as motorized and manual pallet jacks, and non-motorized lifts, to safely move, store, or deliver materials to the proper location.
  • As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for monitoring material quality, escalating concerns to the Lead Technician and Process Facilitator as needed, and performing batch records, GMP documentation, and CMMS entries. You will also be responsible for performing mathematical computations as needed and being familiar with job-related safety procedures and hazards.

Other Responsibilities

  • You will support lean activities and process improvement work, such as performing 5S in the work area, participating in problem-solving, and manual tracking of performance data for OEE and process improvement analysis. You will also lead Level 0 problem-solving on equipment-related issues as needed.
  • You will act as a certified OJT trainer on the team on assigned equipment or process tasks, train and conduct evaluations on other team members for training qualifications, and review process documents for accuracy.
  • You will execute protocols as required as part of equipment qualification and process validation work and be flexible to support other work areas within the Process Execution Team as needed.

Competencies & Job Requirements

  • You will acquire and maintain all required certifications and qualifications for the assigned work area and possess strong mechanical and electronic knowledge and aptitude.
  • You will have strong verbal and written communication skills, be capable and motivated to learn new skills and develop new capabilities on an ongoing basis, and be able to work effectively in a team environment.
  • You will be able to interpret technical documents, possess the ability to work in and adapt to a changing/demanding environment, and be willing to work some overtime with minimal advance notice to support business needs.

Minimum Requirements

  • You must have experience in a regulated production environment, specifically responsible for equipment maintenance and performance.
  • You must have the ability to effectively understand, read, write, communicate, and follow instructions in the English language.
  • You must be able to lift and handle equipment change parts, tooling, and materials associated with equipment maintenance and repair.

Preferred Background

  • You should have a high school graduate, vocational school graduate, or equivalent.
  • You should have a minimum of three years of experience in a regulated production environment, specifically responsible for equipment maintenance and performance.
  • You should have an associate's degree in engineering or a mechanical trade school graduate.
  • You should have previous experience with automated equipment, training in mechanics, hydraulics, and electronics systems, and knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems such as SAP.
  • You should have experience with OEE, TPM, LEAN, or other Continuous Improvement methodology.
