Contract Duration: Ongoing contract with a minimum of one year, potential for extensions or direct hire.
Location: Marion, IN
Shift: Primarily 1st shift, with flexibility to work 2nd shift and overtime/weekend work as required.
Compensation: $39-$42 per hour
Compensation may vary based on various factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Essential Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience with Allen Bradley PLCs (candidates with a technician background are welcome)
- Proficiency in working with HMIs
- Experience in troubleshooting and debugging PLCs
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with Beckhoff motion controllers or TwinCAT
- Experience in robotic programming (Fanuc, Kuka, ABB)
- Background in the automotive industry
- General assembly experience
- Knowledge of Ethernet and/or DeviceNet networks
- Ability to program Allen Bradley systems from the ground up
- Experience with Eplan
- Previous experience with GM standards
- GCCH-1 Certification

Daily Responsibilities: Insight Global is seeking a Controls Engineer for a prominent automotive OEM. The selected engineer will focus on programming Allen Bradley PLCs and providing support for the production line in general assembly. Responsibilities include:
- Implementing and executing new programs (SOR preparation, forecasting, controls/robotics design, equipment build/run-off, and buyoff)
- Designing, constructing, integrating, and installing equipment and tools necessary for the production of high-quality components
- Managing deliveries in accordance with program timing milestones
- Reporting project updates to senior management
- Providing support for existing programs/sites (troubleshooting, etc.)
- Collaborating effectively with all customers and plants
- Offering technical guidance to less experienced controls engineers
- Designing and troubleshooting electrical control systems
- Engaging in the development and testing of advanced process technologies
