Job Summary

The Diagnostic Imaging Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a section in Diagnostic Imaging at MD Anderson Center. This role requires strong leadership and technical skills to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of radiology technologists and other staff members to ensure smooth operations and high-quality patient care.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve workflow and patient satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with the radiology department to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
  • Monitor and maintain equipment and supplies to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to identify areas for improvement and implement changes.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and hospital policies.
Requirements
  • Graduate of a Radiology Technology, Ultrasound Technology, or Nuclear Medicine Technology program or an Associates of Applied Science degree.
  • Two years of experience as a Registered Technologist and one year of lead/supervisory experience.
  • Successful completion of the LEADing Self Accelerate and/or LEADing Self Discover programs may substitute for one year of required supervisory or management experience.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers through the American Heart Association.
  • Registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) and licensure by the Texas Medical Board (TMB) as a Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist (CMRT).
Preferred Qualifications
  • ARDMS (Abdomen or OB/Gyn) and RVT certification.
