MRI Technologist Job Description

At Memorial MRI & Diagnostic, we are seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist to join our team. As an MRI Technologist, you will play a critical role in capturing high-quality images using magnetic resonance imaging scanners to aid in patient diagnosis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • License and Certification: Hold a current license as a Radiological Technologist from the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT).
  • Image Capture: Utilize MRI scanners to capture specific images ordered by a physician.
  • Procedure Explanation: Explain MRI procedures to patients in a clear and concise manner.
  • Patient Positioning: Position patients correctly and effectively record the requested diagnostic images.
  • Equipment Operation: Prepare and operate MRI equipment, including selecting software options and imaging parameters.
  • Communication Skills: Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as sensitivity to the physical and psychological needs of patients.
  • Attention to Detail: Demonstrate attention to detail and ability to stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
  • Magnetic Field Safety: Enforce magnetic field safety for MRI patients, operators, and visitors.
  • Confidentiality: Maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
