The Role: We are on the lookout for a dynamic and technically adept Product Manager to lead our Advertising initiatives within the Prime Video Playback team. This pivotal role involves spearheading our video playback advertising capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Articulate the strategic vision for Playback Advertising, manage the product roadmap, and drive execution to enhance customer experience and business outcomes.
  • Draft and present technical requirement documents essential for product, feature, and infrastructure development.
  • Continuously prioritize the product backlog based on data insights, customer feedback, and business objectives.
  • Compose narratives to support product launches and change requests.
  • Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders and cross-functional partners.
  • Collaborate with the Advertising team to create innovative experiences and execute cross-functional initiatives.
  • Contribute to the evolution of team processes and operational mechanisms.
  • Engage in design reviews and discussions with engineering teams to uphold high-quality standards.
  • Establish metrics (e.g., KPIs) to monitor adoption, performance, and alignment with goals.

About Our Team: The Playback team is dedicated to delivering cutting-edge technologies and operations for streaming Live, Linear, and VOD content globally. We strive to provide a superior experience compared to traditional broadcasting, innovating to manage our scale efficiently.

Our responsibilities include acquiring audio/video from partners, encoding content, inserting advertisements, enforcing policies, measuring user experience, managing playback resources, and ensuring seamless delivery of video content.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of comprehensive product delivery experience.
  • At least 8 years of experience in technical product or program management.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Proven experience in feature delivery and understanding product trade-offs.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead roadmap strategy and definition.
  • Experience in guiding engineering discussions on technology decisions related to products.
  • Strong background in technical product management.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience collaborating directly with engineers on product enhancements.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies, business analysis, or process improvement.

Our compensation reflects the labor market across various US regions, with base pay ranging from $161,900 to $279,900, depending on geographic location and individual qualifications.
