Job Summary

The Southcentral Foundation (SCF) is seeking a skilled Clinical Specialist to provide clinical interventions tailored to the customer-owner needs and prepare them for participation in learning circles.

This position has two levels designed to provide progressively more responsible and independent work experiences. Progression between job levels is based on the demonstrated ability to successfully handle more progressively responsible assignments.

SCF programs are established to serve a primary population comprised of Alaska Native people who are affiliated with Cook Inlet Region, Inc. (CIRI) and Alaska Native and American Indian people within SCF's geographical service area. Employees should have a thorough understanding of the cultures and the needs of this population.

Qualifications
  • Master's degree in a behavioral health field, including Counseling, Psychology, or Social Work
  • PhD/PsyD in Clinical or Counseling Psychology
  • Obtain Alaska Clinical Licensure in a designated field within four years of hire
  • Additional qualifications for Clinician II: two years of supervised clinical work experience for Master's level Behavioral Health, or two years of post-graduate clinical experience for PhD or PsyD level, or demonstrated proficiency as a Clinician I at SCF
  • Current Alaska Clinical Licensure in a designated field
  • Additional qualifications for Dena A Coy and Four Directions departments: obtain Qualified Addiction Professional (QAP) approval within three years of the Provisional Provider Application approval date with the State of Alaska

Jobs designated as a Health Care Personnel (HCP) position require that you have documentation that you have completed the following immunizations prior to your first day of employment: MMR (Measles, Mumps, and Rubella), Varicella (Chicken Pox), Hepatitis B, Influenza, T-dap (Tetanus - Diphtheria - Pertussis), and COVID-19 vaccination is required.
