Clinical Nurse Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our team at Providence Alaska Medical Center. As a Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will play a critical role in promoting excellence in nursing care and establishing competency standards for staff members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement clinical standards of practice and establish competency standards for staff members
- Function as a clinical resource, conduct and facilitate patient care consultations, and provide resources to assess the impact of appropriate practice on patient outcomes
- Support clinical rounds with the multi-disciplinary healthcare team and work closely and collaboratively with physicians to establish collegial relationships that benefit staff, patients, and the community
Requirements:
- Master's degree from a clinical nurse specialist program accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) or the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC)
- Alaska Registered Nurse License upon hire
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire
- Current certification in area of specialty (i.e., CEN, CCRN) upon hire
- 3 years Registered Nursing experience in area of specialty
- 2 years Clinical Leadership responsibility
