Position Overview:
The Patient Access Representative (PAR) serves as a vital first point of contact for patients, embodying our organization's commitment to outstanding customer service and empathy. This role is essential in facilitating the patient’s entry into our healthcare facilities, encompassing various responsibilities such as scheduling appointments, registering patients, verifying insurance details, and managing upfront collections.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure accurate patient information is collected and entered into the medical records.
- Exhibit strong attention to detail and maintain proficiency with various insurance providers.
- Cross-train across all medical clinics to provide versatile support.
- Be available for weekend shifts and serve as a super user for our electronic health record (EHR) and insurance eligibility systems.
Qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED).
- Skills: Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, along with excellent telephone etiquette. Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail are essential. Basic computer skills, including familiarity with MS Office and 10-key, are preferred.
