Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at Marshall Medical Center. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of effective medical care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers as needed
  • Complete medication refills, lab result follow-ups, and referrals to specialists
  • Order medical supplies and clean/sterilize medical equipment and exam rooms
  • Float to other clinics when needed and perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Completion of a Medical Assistant Program or previous Medical Assistant experience
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Previous experience with injections, EKGs, medication administration, and/or taking vital signs
  • Basic computer/data entry and electronic medical record (EMR) experience
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and patient/family health education
Preferred Qualifications
  • Current Medical Assistant (MA) certification from the California Certified Medical Assistant Board (CCMA) or the National American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
