About the Role

The Printing Press Operator is a key member of the Berry Global team, responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our flexographic printing presses. As a Printing Press Operator, you will be responsible for preparing the press for printing, setting up the flexographic plates, and ensuring the quality of the printed product.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare the press for printing, including setting up the flexographic plates and ink distribution systems
  • Ensure the quality of the printed product, including conducting regular quality checks and making adjustments as needed
  • Monitor and maintain the press equipment, reporting any issues or malfunctions to management
  • Work collaboratively with the production team to meet production targets and deadlines

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or certification in a related field preferred
  • At least 1 year of experience in a printing or manufacturing environment
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Working Conditions

The Printing Press Operator will work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, with regular exposure to noise, dust, and other hazards. The position requires standing for long periods, lifting up to 65 pounds, and working at heights.
