Responsibilities- Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice in the out-patient services setting.
- Communicates with physicians, Director of Surgical Services, House Supervisor, and co-workers about changes in patients' clinical condition.
- Responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.
- Directs and guides other personnel while maintaining standards of care.
- Works with other departments and co-workers to provide quality patient care across the continuum.
- Current and valid Texas state RN license.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), preferred.
- Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
- Current ACLS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
- Current PALS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
- Certified Nurse OR (CNOR) Certification (AORN), preferred.
- Minimum of one year previous perioperative experience.
- Previous hospital acute care experience, preferred.
