Job Title: Registered Nurse - Float Pool

North Central Surgical Center, a highly successful and Baylor Scott & White affiliated hospital, is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Float Pool team. As a key member of our surgical team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to patients undergoing various surgical procedures.

Responsibilities:
  • Plan, direct, organize, coordinate, and implement all nursing care services for assigned patient population.
  • Ensure the highest quality and safe delivery of patient care, maintaining compliance with professional nursing, TJC, and all Federal and State standards of care.
  • Provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient and family care in preparation for discharge.
Requirements:
  • Current Texas Nursing License
  • Current BLS
  • Must attain ACLS and PALS by 90 days of hire
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Minimum 1-2 year experience in a Medical/Surgery or ICU unit
  • Ability to recognize, evaluate, and solve problems and correct errors
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, hospital staff, physicians, vendors, and the public
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Demonstrates accountability, professionalism, openness, receptiveness to change, creativity, and innovation
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to adapt to change quickly, strong knowledge base relative to surgery procedures and management of the surgical patient
  • Understands principles of aseptic technique and their implementation
  • Ability to care for patients from infancy to geriatrics
  • Basic knowledge of Performance Improvement ideology
