As a key member of the Compass Group USA team, the Executive Chef IV will be responsible for overseeing kitchen operations and maintaining a safe and sanitary work environment for staff. This role requires a high level of culinary expertise, leadership skills, and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:- Menu Planning: Develop and implement regular and modified menus in accordance with corporate guidelines and standards.
- Culinary Operations: Prepare or direct the preparation of meals, ensuring quality and consistency.
- Staff Training: Train kitchen staff in food preparation, safe handling, and operation of equipment, as well as food safety and sanitation procedures.
- Inventory Management: Maintain inventory of food and non-food supplies, ensuring that necessary products are available when needed.
- Regulatory Compliance: Comply with federal, state, and local health and sanitation regulations, as well as department sanitation procedures.
- Safety and Sanitation: Ensure that kitchen staff follows and completes cleaning and maintenance schedules for equipment, storage, and work areas.
- Culinary Education: B.S. Degree in Culinary Arts, Food Services Technology/Management, or related field; or A.O.S. Degree in Culinary Arts or culinary certificate and required experience.
- Culinary Experience: Minimum of three to five years of progressive culinary/kitchen management experience, depending on formal degree or training.
- Preferred Qualifications: Extensive catering experience, high volume, complex foodservice operations experience, institutional and batch cooking experiences, and hands-on chef experience.
- Competitive Salary: $50,000-$57,900, D.O.E.
