About the Position
We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Associate to join our team at the Koch Institute, Massachusetts Institute of Technology. As a postdoctoral researcher in the Yaffe Lab, you will lead projects aimed at improving lung cancer treatment by investigating the role of postoperative tissue injury and inflammatory signaling pathways in recurrence and metastasis.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute experimental approaches to investigate the relationship between inflammation and cancer progression.
- Collaborate with other passionate scientists in a collegial, project-driven laboratory.
- Be co-mentored by Dr. Yaffe and Dr. Paul Furlow, experienced mentors dedicated to helping their trainees cultivate professional development skills and success in their independent scientific careers.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in molecular biology, biochemistry, immunology, biochemical engineering, or a related area or M.D. with significant experience managing independent research projects to completion and publication.
Compensation Package
The salary for this position is approximately $65,000 per year, which includes benefits such as health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off. We also offer a vibrant scientific community and access to cutting-edge research facilities.
