EKG Equipment Technician

We are seeking a skilled EKG Equipment Technician to join our team at Asante. As a key member of our respiratory care team, you will be responsible for assisting respiratory care practitioners with equipment cleaning, assembly, and inventory control. You will also acquire 12-lead electrocardiograms on all patient age groups, utilizing sound clinical judgment and effective problem-solving abilities.
Responsibilities- Perform electrocardiograms based on established policies, procedures, or orders in a timely manner.
- Use sound clinical judgment and effective problem-solving abilities during the implementation of patient care.
- Communicate data obtained from ECGs as appropriate to other healthcare team members.
- Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to adjust workload or duties in response to a change in work volume, emergencies, staffing, or scheduling.
- Current enrollment in an accredited 2-year Respiratory Care Practitioner training program is highly preferred.
- Data entry, DOS, Windows, spreadsheets, and word processing experience.
- Previous experience as a healthcare provider.
- Licensure/Certifications: BLS: Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider certified by the American Heart Association is required upon start.
