Paradise Animal Hospital is looking for a full-time or part-time Veterinary Technician to enhance our team. We are a well-established practice that values compassionate and enthusiastic team members.
This role offers flexible scheduling options, including 8, 10, or 12-hour shifts, tailored to meet both the hospital's needs and your preferences. Expect to work an 8-hour Saturday shift approximately twice a month, promoting a balanced work-life dynamic.
The ideal candidate will be instrumental in supporting our practice by showcasing initiative, exceptional client service skills, and a commitment to continuous learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting veterinarians during examinations and medical procedures
- Conducting routine tasks such as nail trimming, blood collection, and administering medications
- Caring for hospitalized animals and ensuring cleanliness in patient areas
- Communicating with clients and providing education on pet care
- Maintaining accurate medical records and billing documentation
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role
- Proficient computer skills and ability to multitask
- Strong communication and organizational abilities
- Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively
Physical Demands:
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Willingness to stand, bend, and move for extended periods
- Flexibility to accommodate long shifts as required
