Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to join our team at Leidos. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on HVAC systems, including troubleshooting and adjustments as needed.
  • Install and upgrade HVAC equipment and systems, including chillers, cooling towers, and air conditioning units.
  • Conduct inspections and track repairs to ensure optimal system performance and availability.
  • Respond to service calls and PM inspections, producing reports on malfunctioning equipment and diagnosing causes of problems.
  • Provide technical expertise in support of unique security requirements, including sound baffling techniques and resolution of compromising electrical currents.
  • Deploy to strategic and tactical mobile facility environments, providing expert technical assistance in 24-hour operational environments.
  • Support US Army systems on site and deploy to other countries and/or theaters to perform quick reaction technical support.
Requirements
  • Vocational or High School diploma or equivalent and 4 years' experience leading to licensure as a Journeyman HVAC or equivalent license at a State level; or six years' experience in an equivalent Military HVAC training/certification.
  • Must have a Final Top-Secret Clearance based upon a TIER 5 Background Investigation, and favorable eligibility determination for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) IAW ICD 704.
  • Ability to plan, install, troubleshoot and repair equipment and systems not fully covered by technical manuals, schematics, etc.
  • Knowledge on HVAC control and monitoring systems and their components.
  • Knowledge with computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
  • Possess a North American Technician Excellence (NATE) certification.
  • Must be a US Citizen.
