Position: Overnight Cleaning Associate

We are seeking a dedicated Cleaner to enhance our team. As a vital member of our staff, you will be tasked with ensuring the cleanliness of all facility areas while fostering a positive experience for our members. Your role will also involve delivering exceptional customer service to Planet Fitness members, prospective members, and guests, guaranteeing a remarkable "Judgement Free" experience. Your responsibilities will include:

Facility Cleanliness and Upkeep:
  • Meticulously clean and disinfect restrooms, locker rooms, fitness equipment, and gym floors in line with Planet Fitness standards.
  • Restock locker rooms with necessary supplies and paper products.
  • Dispose of waste properly.
  • Notify the Club Manager of any damaged or missing amenities or equipment (e.g., toilets, faucets, showers, hair dryers, gym equipment).
  • Adhere to the "Lost and Found Policy" by promptly turning in lost items to the Club Manager or Assistant Club Manager.
  • Perform additional cleaning tasks as directed by management.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Candidates for this overnight role must undergo a 7-year criminal background check within the first week of employment. Continued employment will depend on a satisfactory outcome of this check.
  • Previous custodial experience is preferred.
  • Dependability and punctuality are essential.
  • Integrity and a strong work ethic are crucial.
  • Ability to independently resolve issues.
  • Exhibit professionalism in all interactions using appropriate language and behavior.
  • A High School diploma or GED equivalent is required.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
  • Work will be conducted in both indoor and outdoor settings.
  • Travel between sites may be required.
  • Exposure to noise, dust, grease, gases, cleaning chemicals, mechanical and electrical hazards, and varying weather conditions.
  • Requires physical ability and mobility to walk, stand, and sit for extended periods; frequently stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, reach, twist, grasp, and perform repetitive hand movements; climb heights on ladders; lift, carry, push, and/or pull moderate to heavy weights (over 80 lbs).
  • Ability to verbally communicate to exchange information.
  • Must maintain the physical capability to administer CPR in emergencies.
  • Normal vision and hearing range, with or without correction, is necessary.
