Zamzows is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Seasonal Freight Associate to join our team. As a Seasonal Freight Associate, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized store environment, providing exceptional customer service, and supporting the store management team in various tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Restock shelves and maintain a clean and organized store environment
- Provide exceptional customer service, greeting customers, answering questions, and carrying out products
- Support the store management team in tasks such as recording product counts, setting up and taking down store displays, and dispensing propane
- Operate store tractors for loading bulk products and maintain the cleanliness of the store and outside property
- Follow all safety procedures and use safety equipment
Work Environment:
This role operates in a retail environment with plants, chemicals, dirt, and live animals. You may be exposed to mild physical discomfort from factors such as dust, fumes, or odors, temperature extremes, loud noise, strong drafts, or bright lights.
Physical Demands:
This position is very active, requiring frequent reaching, lifting, stacking, and maneuvering objects of varying dimensions and weights. You must be able to safely operate equipment such as a tractor and stand, walk, and move rapidly for long periods.
Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be able to lift between 50 and 80 pounds on a regular basis and throughout a work shift
- Must have good communication skills and be comfortable approaching customers
- Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, Saturdays, and Sundays
- Punctuality, good attendance, and dependability are required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Retail and customer service experience
Salary: $13-$14.00 per hour
