Position: Nighttime Cleaning Specialist

We are looking for a dedicated Cleaner to become part of our team. In this role, you will be tasked with ensuring the cleanliness of all areas within the facility while fostering a positive experience for our members. You will also deliver exceptional customer service to Planet Fitness members, prospective members, and guests, ensuring a remarkable "Judgement Free" environment. Your key responsibilities will include:

Facility Cleanliness and Upkeep:
  • Meticulously clean and disinfect restrooms, locker rooms, fitness equipment, and gym floors in line with Planet Fitness standards.
  • Restock locker rooms with necessary supplies and paper products.
  • Properly dispose of waste materials.
  • Notify the Club Manager of any damaged or missing amenities or equipment.
  • Adhere to the "Lost and Found Policy" by promptly reporting lost items to management.
  • Perform additional cleaning tasks as directed by management.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Candidates for this overnight role must undergo a 7-year criminal background check within the first week of employment, with continued employment contingent upon a satisfactory outcome.
  • Previous custodial experience is preferred.
  • Dependability and punctuality are essential.
  • Integrity and a strong work ethic are required.
  • Ability to independently resolve issues.
  • Exhibit professionalism in all interactions, using appropriate language and behavior.
  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
  • Work is conducted in both indoor and outdoor settings.
  • Travel between various sites may be required.
  • Exposure to noise, dust, grease, gases, cleaning chemicals, and various weather conditions.
  • Requires physical ability to walk, stand, and sit for extended periods; frequently stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, reach, twist, grasp, and perform repetitive hand movements; climb heights on ladders; lift, carry, push, and/or pull moderate to heavy weights (over 80 lbs).
  • Effective verbal communication is necessary for information exchange.
  • Must maintain the physical capability to administer CPR in emergencies.
  • Ability to see and hear within normal ranges, with or without correction.
