Expected salary range of $103,500 to $115,000, subject to experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes bonuses and a 401(k) plan.


Responsibilities:

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION


Collaborates with the Manager/Principal to conduct and/or oversee audits aimed at assessing the appropriateness and efficiency of control frameworks and operational processes, including recommendations for enhancements in processes and controls.

Undertakes special reviews as requested by management.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
Formulate the development of IT audit scope, objectives, and audit programs; determine the audit methodologies to be employed. Supervise junior associates.

Evaluate operational processes and draw conclusions regarding their effectiveness; identify critical IT control points within systems.


Execute audit testing—review transactions, documents, records, and methodologies for accuracy and efficiency; conduct interviews and observations, and perform asset verification.

Identify, communicate, and resolve any audit-related issues with management as they arise during the audit.

Develop risk assessments for essential IT business processes; prepare suitable audit plans.

Prepare oral presentations and/or written reports detailing the results of audit examinations, conclusions, and recommendations.

Conduct follow-up audits to assess the adequacy of corrective actions taken.

Oversee audit staff on projects and provide performance evaluations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
LEVEL OF EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION/YEARS EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Accounting, Engineering, Business, or a related field.

Five to eight years of experience in an IT auditing role or a related field.

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES
Business Process Risk Assessment

Best Practices, Analysis, and Improvement

Strong organizational and analytical skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and requirements.

Advanced knowledge of operating systems (OS/390, UNIX, Windows) and computing environments (mainframe, client/server, internet, intranet, and applications such as PeopleSoft).

Solid understanding of business continuity and cybersecurity.

Proficient in PC applications (experience in word processing, spreadsheet software, and flowcharting).

Able to obtain, analyze, and evaluate data.

Experience in the energy sector.

Demonstrated knowledge of internal controls and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
