Job Summary

Rutland Regional Medical Center is seeking a skilled Pharmacist to join our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assume a variety of clinical and distributive functions, working collaboratively with healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care.
  • Identify, resolve, and prevent potential and actual drug-related problems, ensuring the safe and effective use of medications.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve the medication system, recognizing and reporting practice deviations.
  • Communicate effectively with pharmacy, nursing, medical staff, and other health professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Provide care based on physical, psychosocial, educational, safety, and related criteria, appropriate to the age of the patients served.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy with a Bachelor of Science degree or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm. D.)
  • Previous experience as a registered pharmacist in a hospital setting preferred, with completion of a PGY1 Pharmacy residency also preferred.
  • Vermont pharmacy license or eligibility for licensure by examination or reciprocity.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suites, including Word and Excel.
