Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Executive Chef in all areas of responsibility, including menu planning, inventory management, and staff supervision.
  • Manage back of house operations, including kitchen layout, equipment maintenance, and sanitation procedures.
  • Oversee food production, including ordering, receiving, and storing ingredients, as well as preparing and presenting dishes.
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff, including line cooks, prep cooks, and dishwashers.
  • Conduct inventory and ordering of supplies, including food, beverages, and equipment.
  • Develop and implement kitchen policies and procedures to ensure efficient and safe food preparation and service.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef to develop and implement menu changes and promotions.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food safety and sanitation procedures.

Requirements:

  • 2 years of high-volume, full-service restaurant experience in a management position.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.
  • Self-discipline and motivation.
  • Butchering experience preferred.
  • Scratch kitchen experience preferred.
