Job Title: Graduate Assistant

University of Denver is seeking a highly motivated and organized Graduate Assistant to support the Athletics and Recreation Division. This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate student to gain valuable experience in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in planning and executing practices, including setting up drills and scrimmages.
  • Support the coaching staff during games and practices, including tracking statistics, managing the bench, and ensuring game-day readiness.
  • Record and analyze practice and game footage using video analysis software.
  • Manage and organize film libraries for review by coaches and players.
  • Assist in scheduling team activities, including practices, travel, and team meetings.
  • Manage equipment and gear distribution, including uniforms, practice gear, and travel needs.
  • Maintain compliance with NCAA and university regulations, including tracking player academic progress.
Requirements:
  • Current DU graduate student enrolled for the academic year.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience playing or working in a basketball program.
  • Familiarity with video editing software (e.g., Synergy).
  • Understanding of NCAA Division I rules and regulations.
Working Environment:

The working environment will occur primarily on a basketball court or in a gym environment. Unexpected interruptions occur often, and stress level is moderate to high. Noise level is moderate to loud.
