Job Summary

The Material Logistics Coordinator is responsible for the overall management of supplies and materials. In supply locations, they oversee the efforts of other employees. The size of the work group varies by location.

Key Responsibilities
  • Order, receive, and store supplies, materials, and tools.
  • Receive requests for and deliver supplies.
  • Determine quantities of supplies to be ordered and frequency of ordering and maintaining stock levels.
  • Take inventories and arrange stock supplies.
  • Schedule pick up and deliveries.
  • Direct Drivers and Materiel Attendants during the course of daily operations.
  • Operate material moving equipment.
  • Maintain logs and records of supplies, perform clerical duties.
  • Communicate on the telephone to company and customer representatives.
  • Lift and carry boxes and equipment weighing up to 75 lbs.
  • Work in a warehouse environment.
  • Perform duties in all aspects of weather.
  • Wear appropriate safety equipment and follow established safety practices and procedures.
  • May be required to perform additional duties and tasks as required by the Company.
Requirements
  • Tests - Results obtained in standard tests for this position must meet minimum requirements established by the Company, in accordance with Company policy.
  • Physical Requirements - Must meet Verizon's medical standard for the job.
  • Job Performance and Attendance Record - Satisfactory performance rating, safety record & attendance/punctuality record in present job.
  • Tours - Work assignments consist of five tours, Monday to Saturday, both inclusive. Employees may be required to work evening and weekend tours on a rotational basis. Overtime, work on holidays and on non-scheduled days will be required as needs of the business necessitate.
  • Driver's License Information - Must have state driver's license, which is valid in state where work is performed. A valid Company driver's license and satisfactory driving record are also required. Must have ability to drive cars, trucks, and vans, including vehicles with manual transmission. Employee is required to have a Department of Transportation Certificate if driving a Company vehicle over 10,000 pounds.
  • Additional Requirements - Federal law requires minimum age for jobs of this nature to be 18 years old.
