Senior Financial Planning and Analysis Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Planning and Analysis Analyst to join our team at Synacor Inc. This is a high-visibility, broad-exposure position in a growing company.
Key Responsibilities- Update the company model with actual results to drive budget versus actual reporting, capturing changes in customer and vendor contracts, headcount, and organizational structure.
- Maintain corporate allocations model to ensure accurate management reporting.
- Work with the Controller and outsourced accounting to ensure expenses and revenues are coded correctly.
- Produce the monthly reporting package and variance analysis (budget/forecast/prior year) for senior management, investors, and the board of directors.
- Coordinate and consolidate monthly, quarterly, and annual forecast/budget working with finance team members and business partners.
- Assist in the coordination and preparation of materials for monthly and quarterly board of directors' meetings.
- Perform financial modeling, financial statement analysis, business decision modeling, and ad hoc analysis to support strategic initiatives.
- Present findings in small or large group settings in partnership with senior executive(s).
- Support the Sales Operations team in reporting SaaS booking and revenue metrics.
- Develop revenue and expense forecasting and budget models that provide the flexibility to deal with a high growth, rapidly evolving business model, multiple revenue streams, and various cost scenarios.
- Further develop product costing and bookings models along with subscription business metrics.
- Identify and execute process improvements, particularly as to how Synacor currently prepares and delivers data analysis and forecasting information.
- Act as a collaborative finance partner with business leaders across the organization to model, review, and resolve complex issues and provide budget support for these executives.
- Provide support for corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions and financings.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; MBA preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis or Public Accounting experience in both audit and transaction advisory services.
- Working knowledge of GAAP.
- Experience working with corporate systems (Accounting/ERP, Billing, HR, CRM, Business Intelligence).
- Superior analytical and problem-solving skills.
- SaaS company experience.
- Private Equity-backed company experience preferred.
- Proven experience in managing/consolidating monthly forecasts and annual operating plans.
- Good organizational skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple assignments.
- Advanced level skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and demonstrated ability to influence others and partner with other business leaders to achieve goals.
