Job SummaryWe're seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Professional to join our team. As a DSP, you'll work closely with our clinical staff to support therapeutic and behavioral plans, providing assistance and strategies to individuals to live as independently as possible.
Key Responsibilities- Transportation and support in the community, including outings, field trips, medical appointments, and shopping
- Assist with daily living skills, including meal preparation and medication administration
- Provide guidance on developmental goals, such as community participation, household budgeting, exercise, nutrition, and vocational responsibilities
- Support individuals with living skills, such as personal hygiene, grooming, and bathing
- Assist individuals to redirect agitated or aggressive behaviors
- High School Diploma or GED
- 5 documented years of caregiving experience (substituting education)
- Minimum of 18 years of age
- Access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance
- Successful clearance of background checks
- Reliable and responsible attitude
- Compassionate approach and commitment to quality
- Part-time, full-time, and PRN schedules available
- Competitive pay: Hourly rate starting at $18.00
