As a Reimbursement Specialist at Maxim Healthcare Services, you will play a critical role in ensuring timely and accurate reimbursement for our clients.

Your daily responsibilities will include reviewing office sales for appropriate documentation, generating and billing claims and invoices, and following up on unpaid accounts.

You will be responsible for processing and posting revenue, making changes as needed, and ensuring sales have appropriate documentation such as nursing notes, worker timecards, authorization, purchase order, and other payer requirements as appropriate.

You will also accurately generate claims and/or invoices of sales and bills a variety of payer sources via mail, fax, web portal or electronic clearinghouse, and research and follow up on unpaid accounts after expected payment timeframe.

Additionally, you will correct, resubmit claims and/or appeal claim determinations as necessary to ensure payment, and follow all quality processes for department/team to avoid preventable write-offs and improve collections efforts.

You will provide great customer service for our office partners, patients, other departments and payers, and keep Team Leader informed of problem accounts or potential impacts to cash collections and A/R.

To be successful in this role, you will need a high school diploma or equivalent, and experience in medical billing, accounts receivables, and/or collections is preferred.

You will also need quick and accurate Alpha/numeric data entry skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel and Web-enabled applications, and excellent customer service skills, work ethic and commitment to job responsibilities.

You must be a self-starter, with ability to work well as part of a team and independently, and present a positive image that reflects well on the organization.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills are also required.
