Job Title: Telecom Design Specialist

A leading engineering and sciences services company is seeking a skilled Telecom Design Specialist to join their team in Seattle. As a key member of the design-build team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing telecom infrastructure for various projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop telecom infrastructure for new and existing projects
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and specifications
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technologies to ensure best practices are implemented
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of experience in telecom design with a focus on physical building design
  • Proficiency in Revit and other design software
  • Strong understanding of electrical and communication systems
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Bonus Qualifications:
  • Experience with high-density storage area network applications
  • Knowledge of high-bandwidth structured cabling systems architecture
  • Redundant and scalable WAN/LAN network architectures
  • Right-of-way and easement coordination
  • Wireless LAN design and simulation
  • Service entrance facilities and redundant pathways
  • Multi-faceted broadband and satellite distribution infrastructure
  • Outside plant underground pathway infrastructures and systems
  • WAN/LAN for voice, data, and video
  • Building automated systems infrastructure/connectivity (HVAC, energy, and lighting controls systems)
  • Analog and IP-based infrastructure
  • Surveillance video, access controls, and intrusion systems
  • Intercom/clock systems
  • Audio-visual systems
Work Environment:

This is a hybrid position requiring some days on-site in Seattle, Washington, and some days remote. The work environment is 3 days a week in the office and 2 days remote.

Pay: $31-48 hourly
