We are seeking a highly skilled Data Center Capacity Management Specialist to join our team at Beacon Hill. As a key member of our IT staff, you will be responsible for ensuring that our data centers have the necessary resources and capacity to meet current and future demands.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Capacity Forecasting
  • Assess Future Demand: Utilize business intelligence and predictive analytics to forecast future IT infrastructure needs based on business growth, new projects, and technological trends.
  • Analyze Data: Leverage historical data and trends to estimate future requirements for servers, storage, networking, and cooling systems.
  1. Resource Allocation
  • Optimize Resources: Ensure optimal use of existing data center resources (e.g., power, cooling, space, and IT equipment) to maximize efficiency and minimize waste.
  • Balance Workloads: Strategically distribute workloads to avoid resource bottlenecks and ensure high availability and performance.
  1. Collaboration with Stakeholders
  • Work with IT Teams: Collaborate with system architects, network engineers, and operations teams to understand current and future infrastructure needs.
  • Budget Management: Ensure alignment between capacity planning and budget constraints, working closely with finance departments.
  1. Infrastructure Upgrades and Scaling
  • Plan for Expansion: Design and plan for the addition of new equipment, expansion of data centers, or migration to cloud solutions.
  • Handle Upgrades: Oversee upgrades to existing infrastructure as technologies evolve and requirements change.
